Sketchcrawl - Winter 2012
Kenosha/Racine Write & Sketchcrawl are putting together indoor activities during the winter months, beginning in January 2012, for local artists and authors to get together, share some laughs, and sketch or write about the environment that surrounds them.

Write & Sketchcrawl welcomes everyone of all abilities. In fact, newbies are encouraged to attend.  You can only improve your craft through practice, and Write & Sketchcrawl provides a comfortable, non-competitive way to write or draw.

Dates, times and locations of Winter Write & Sketchcrawl activities will be posted on this page.

What Is Write & Sketchcrawl?
Kenosha/Racine Write & Sketchcrawl is an informal group of writers and visual artists who enjoy the opportunity to spend some hours of a day in the art and fun of sketching or creative writing.  There are no membership fees, Bylaws, or oaths to remember.  Simply say "Sketchcrawl" three times (clicking your heels helps) and you're in!

The "Sketchcrawl" part of Write & Sketchcrawl is a part of a worldwide movement of sketch artists to sketch and journal on the same day in a drawing marathon.   For more information on the international Sketchcrawl organization and activities in our cities and countries, visit www.sketchcrawl.com.   Also check out Urban Sketchers at www.urbansketchers.org

Sketchcrawl.com put out a call for the first World Wide Sketchcrawl on November 21, 2004.  Sketchcrawl Kenosha held its first communal outing in May 2010.

Kenosha/Racine Write & Sketchcrawl is all about the experience of direct observation and telling a story (or creating a poem) about our area.  No creative writing or artistic experience is necessary.  You'll meet some wonderful people and perhaps see your surroundings in a new way.
